Gilliett S Motsi

Managing Partner

Gilliette is a founding & name partner of GSM Law Chambers. She holds a Bachelor of Laws Honours Degree from the University of Zimbabwe and is a member of the Law Society of Zimbabwe. She holds a Certificate in Compliance Management from the University of Cape Town and is a Certified Compliance Professional and a member of The Compliance Institute of South Africa. She also holds certificates in Recruitment and Selection, Introduction to Personnel Management, Training, Labour and Business, and is an associate member of the Institute of Personnel Management Zimbabwe (IPMZ).

At GSM Law Chambers, Gilliett is a point person in matters of civil and commercial litigation in which she has built an excellent record of skill.

Tawanda is an associate of the firm. He has also previously worked as an Advocates, Solicitors & Legal Consultants. In his three year experience, he has advised and litigated on a wide range of legal issues including; commercial and corporate matters, liquidation, intellectual property, real estate, revenue and tax law, and constitutionalism.

G.S Motsi Law Chambers was established in 2016 with its major thrust being business advisors and advocates for corporate entities and individuals. We provide our clients with personalized legal advice, representation, and results in a wide variety of legal areas.
It has been our firm’s observation that in the years past Zimbabwean corporations and businesses set their eyes exclusively to large law firms to handle their business, employment, real estate, and other forms of litigation. Today, Business Executives and In-house counsel are much more sophisticated: their selection of law firm is based more on the real needs of the case at hand. Hence, we have adopted a robust approach to client needs, which include approachability, responsiveness, efficiency, and effectiveness.
It is thus our firm’s culture to respond promptly to inquiries, taking an active and personal role in each and every case. To this end it is imperative that we report regularly and consistently on case developments. We are mandated by ethics of the profession to remain at the top of changes in the law. Our levying of legal fees conforms strictly to the dictates and confines of the Law Society of Zimbabwe tariff.

Broadly speaking, our present policy is to eliminate from our work place any colour bar and gender and disability discrimination and to give preference to job applicants emanating from previously disadvantaged communities. We devote considerable amount of time and effort to in-house training of relevant personnel.
